We use words and interchange them as if they mean the same thing when often times, they don't.  So what?  Well, it really is no big deal, because we all get the essential meaning of the conversation, but there's always someone who corrects-- or in my case who is curious why sweet potatos and yams are NOT the same thing.  But, excuse me, what's the difference, please.

When we talk bicycle, in discussing frames, we refer to their components as tubes, ie: top tube, head tube, seat tube, down tube

We carried GIANT bicycles one year.  Even tho they manufacture SPECIALIZED bicycles in their factory, their bikes were so heavy that I'd swear they tore the plumbing pipes out of their building to make their frames.

But bicycle frames are made with tubes, not pipe.
